Verify sender identity
Nowadays, it can be easy for fraudulent groups to reach out to people pretending to be someone they’re not. Protect your identity and brand by verifying sender details for your email campaigns.
There are two ways to verify sender identity:
- Valid email, or
- Domain
Verifying your email address is easy. Simply go to the Sender Identity tab under Marketing and type in your email address.
Submit, and wait for the verification link in your email inbox.
Click on the link and you will be directed back to your Oode dashboard.
You can always update your connected email address if you want to use another one for your email campaigns.
Domain
You can also verify your identity as the sender of your email campaigns with your own domain. Associating your domain to your Oode email campaign secures your content. Domain verification is based on DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), an email authentication standard that receiving mail servers use to validate an email’s authenticity. DKIM-signed messages help receiving mail servers validate that a message was not forged or altered in transit.
Once you click Submit, you’ll need to log into your domain DNS management (eg. GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, Bluehost, etc.) and add three new DNS records with type: CNAME.
